Just to where to look for, could you tell me which system and version of (Joomla/Mambo) you are using, as well as which version of XfaQ and which language at the backend?
German is the fallback language if your defined language (e.g. all except english and german) does not exist.
As it seems to me that you are not using english as your preferred language - right? And as i told you before, german is the fallback language if wether english nor german is used!
I am working at now - and finishing today - the new version 1.3 with a third modus for displaying the faqs. Will then update also this language issue in the englis version.

yeap, you are right. the defaul language is romanian. Superb if you will release a new version. Good job and thanks 4 your support

I found that XFaq can be a very good component for small anouncement of members so if it can be hide the answer an to be showed by a setting only the Question it will be nice.
eg: define some categ. : Sell - Building, Mobile Phone, Apartments
so it will be : Q-> Selling Nokia 6110 for the price of.. Answer from a member : i'm interested in. Contact me at phone no. xxx xxx xxx
Is just a thought how your component can be used... not only as FAQ.
Will publish XfaQ 1.3 not later than tomorrow midday - see how that version combines you (specially with the new mode). Afterwards i will see how i could implement things like that
when there was more than one entry it did not actually display 'Entries' but still continued to display 'Entry' ... not sure if this is a bug or not. I've currently gone round this by editing the XFAQ_ONE_CONTRIB entry to entries.

Maybe i am not releasing 1.3, because the original (XfaQ) isn't that flexible as i need it. Therefore i am working on a completely new component with some (i think) really great enhancements, like
time scheduled publishing
ACL (for categories and items)
WYSIWYG Editor
full XHTML compliance
BOT integration
etc.
Guess because of all of that, this will be published as a commercial component. Will be released very soon.
You can use which fits best for you (understanding the language). German, germanf and germani are almost the same (those 3 are mostly for compatibility to Mambo 4.5.x), because Joomla will use only german.php
After translating (which language ever) the only thing is to rename the new translated file into (e.g.): dutch.php This new file will be called afterwards by your system - if you have defined dutch as you preferred language.
But, as wrote before, there will be released a new component which will have much more capabilities than the existing XfaQ. If you like, i could send you the lang.file of this. Due the fact that this new component will be avaliable only under commercial license, i would give you one copy for free if you could share your translation.
This offer will be valid for every translator or other who is giving support.
